the move

we struggled with the decision, but once made, we knew it was right. Reality quickly set in. We had so much to move, so little time. IT was the middle of our busiest season. Short of cash due to two years of the pandemic, we had to dig in and find the strength to do it ourselves.

we started packing.. we cleared out a space for our office in the warehouse that has been storing the accumulation of a lifetime as well as things we “might” use to make art “someday”

We sorted out a space for literally tons of books, a space for shipping boxes (hope springs eternal… always).. a space for our office and our papers and stamps.

We figured out how to heat part of the space and set up a good glue area.

We rented a tiny truck and made the first move two weeks ago. We rented a slightly larger truck last weekend and moved desks and cabinets. We continued to move boxes every day, a few at a time.

And here we are. The gallery is open. We can see progress.

We chose to move the gallery into the front room of our son’s photo studio.

we are making progress.
