Band Saw Puzzle Box by Phil Baerreis. This box is sold – but we can make you a similar box and ship within a week -

Phil is in his element with the band saw – This little box is about 6inches long, 3inches wide and two inches tall.

No pattern is used, the box starts as a piece of natural purple heart, a dense heavy wood that is known to be difficult to work… Purple heart is so heavy it does not float and is used in South America for pier pilings and flat bed truck bottoms. It has a somewhat medium grain, but finishes beautifully.

We package the box in a white gift box with a ribbon with care instructions

All designs are original in concept and execution – our finish is a proprietary mixture of oils which protects the wood at the cellular level and develops a fine patina over time. Both remain the intellectual property of Designs by Baerreis, all rights reserved
